Riding with Gina has given me the confidence to do and try things I never thought possible. I went from being scared to jump cross rails, do confidently and competently completing my first Intermediate. She has such a great program, giving confidence to both horses and riders.

The Pepperwood Legacy

Pepperwood Riding Center began as Gina’s mother Maria’s labor of love: a place where families could learn, compete, and share a common respect for horses. Today, Gina stewards that vision, keeping the barn friendly, the basics rock-solid, and the coffee always on.
Coaching Philosophy
Gina believes great riding starts with great horsemanship. Her lessons blend classical flatwork, thoughtful gymnastics, and plenty of laughter. The goal? A horse that loves its job and a rider who understands the why behind every aid. Whether you’re chasing your first cross-rail or polishing a half-halt for the two-star, she meets you where you are and pushes you—kindly—toward the next marker.
Show-Jumping Success
Gina’s competitive roots are in the jumper arena, with highlights that include campaigns in the Grand Prix ring up to 1.45m and continues to show in the local and upper levels.
Eventing Journey
Introduced to three-day eventing as a teenager, Gina has competed multiple horses through the 4* levels, completing multiple 2* and 3* horse trials nationwide.

A Life in the Saddle
Gina was in the tack long before most kids learn to ride a bike—rumor has it she was “riding before she was born.” That early start turned into a career spanning both U.S. coasts, from 4*-L to Grand Prix show-jumping under stadium lights. Horses are her life’s constant, and Pepperwood Riding Center is the home she’s built around them.
